CBL -- Strategic Addition to Austin's Preferred Supplier Network

CBL  and Austin offer natural and unnatural Fmoc amino acids,  Resins, and loaded resins from USA inventory as well as unique synthesis capabilities to manufacture large peptides (30 – 150 amino acids).

Over the past 20 years, CBL has developed a reputation as a premier manufacturer in the peptide industry. CBL is best known for having developed and commercialized the trityl resins. CBL’s expertise includes manufacture of peptide starting materials, GMP production of peptide intermediates, and API.

CBL operates out of 10,000 square meter state-of-the-art laboratory and production space built for peptide synthesis located in Patras, Greece. In 2007, CBL opened a new building that houses GMP production facilities that includes brand-new large scale reactors designed for the facile scale-up of clinical drug programs.  The facilities allow CBL to operate cost-effectively from the small to large scale.  A 360° facility tour can be viewed at http://www.cblbiopharma.com/?page_id=18.

In 2008, CBL opened a sales office and warehouse in Boulder, CO.   A large inventory of natural and unnatural Fmoc amino acids, resins and loaded resins are stocked in the US to better serve CBL’s North American customers.

CBL is not only a peptide manufacturing company, but is also recognized for peptide technology.  On-going research programs to develop new methods and materials for peptides provide CBL with a wealth of publications and intellectual property. The company has discovered a number of solid phase resins and uniquely protected Fmoc amino acids. CBL holds intellectual property in peptide manufacturing strategies such as for the insulin-like peptides and others in the 30- to 150-amino acid range.

CBL was founded by Prof. Dr. Kleomenis Barlos from the University of Patras.  The company is under the leadership of Dr. Gary Erickson, the former Director of the Boulder Technology Center at Roche Colorado.

CBL has awarded Austin representation of its products offerings and contract manufacturing capabilities specific to its unique technologies expertise.  Austin continues to seek out and provide specialized manufacturing capabilities to its customers and welcomes CBL into its portfolio of niche products and services suppliers.  We welcome your inquiries.
